Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of LearnVault. We have written them to be as clear and readable as possible.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating a LearnVault account or using the platform in any way, you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must also agree. If you are signing up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. What LearnVault provides
LearnVault provides a software platform that records sessions, generates AI-powered transcripts and materials, and gives members access to a personalised AI assistant. We do not provide tutoring, training, coaching, or consulting services directly. Any such relationship is between you and your organisation, not with LearnVault.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@learnvault.academy.
4. Acceptable use
You may use LearnVault only for its intended purpose. You must not use it to store or share illegal content, attempt to access another user's data, reverse-engineer the platform, or use the AI systems for any purpose other than working with your own organisation's content. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
5. Content you upload
You retain ownership of content you upload to LearnVault (recordings, assignments, etc.). By uploading content, you grant LearnVault a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and we will not use it to train AI models.
6. AI limitations
The AI features (transcription, summaries, quiz generation, AI assistant) are powerful but not infallible. Transcripts may contain errors. AI summaries may occasionally miss nuances. The AI assistant may sometimes give incorrect information. You should always verify important information against the original source or a qualified person. We are not liable for decisions made based solely on AI-generated content.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but we cannot guarantee the service will be available at all times. We may perform maintenance that temporarily makes the service unavailable. We will give reasonable notice of planned downtime where possible.
8. Fees and payments
Some features are only available on paid plans. Pricing is displayed on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Refunds are available within 14 days of a new subscription if you have not used the paid features. To request a refund, contact billing@learnvault.academy.
9. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or fail to pay for paid features. On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LearnVault is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
